Police in Trenton, New Jersey, apprehended Andre Gordon, 26, who is accused of killing his stepmother, teenage sister, and the mother of his two children in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
Gordon was discovered walking through the streets of Trenton, attempting to blend in with the crowd, early Saturday evening. His arrest followed two separate shootings that left three of his family members dead and stunned communities across two states, according to investigators.
The incident commenced on Saturday at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Southard Street in Trenton, New Jersey. Sonya Hansen recounted being in her car with her grandson when a man, later identified as Gordon by police, approached them while brandishing a firearm.
“He pulled the gun out, and my grandson, who’s only 9-years-old, saw it and immediately jumped out of the car and ran,” Hansen recounted. “Seeing my grandson flee, I leaped over the car seat and dashed to my daughter’s house.”
Subsequently, Gordon seized Hansen’s vehicle and drove it to a residence on Viewpoint Lane in Levittown, Pennsylvania, around 8:50 a.m., where he reportedly forced his way inside the house, as per officials.
Subsequently, Gordon allegedly proceeded to shoot and fatally wound his 52-year-old stepmother, Karen Gordon, and his 13-year-old sister, Kera Gordon, within the residence.
Officials disclosed that at the time of the incident, three additional family members, including another 13-year-old, were present in the home. Gordon purportedly sought out the remaining three family members but departed when he failed to locate them, as per investigators.
Shortly thereafter, around 9 a.m., Gordon reportedly forced entry into another residence approximately two miles away on Edgewood Lane in Levittown. Inside, he allegedly perpetrated the murder of Taylor Daniel, 25, the mother of his two children, according to officials.
Present in the home were also the couple’s two children, Daniel’s mother, and a fourth family member.
Police indicated that Gordon assaulted Daniel’s mother with a weapon, resulting in her hospitalization as she recovers from the attack.
