“I’m tired of being ‘dragged’ online,” Lizzo stated, emphasizing her desire to create music, spread joy, and contribute positively to the world. However, she lamented feeling unwelcome and misunderstood in the current climate.
“I constantly face false narratives created for attention and popularity… based on my appearance being the subject of ridicule solely… my character dissected by strangers who lack understanding and respect for me. This isn’t what I signed up for — I’m done,” Lizzo concluded.
Celebrities such as Paris Hilton and rapper Killer Mike offered words of support in the comments section. “We love you, Queen,” Hilton wrote.
Lizzo did not elaborate on the specific “lies” or “jokes” that prompted her statement.
The singer has encountered a barrage of criticism and fatphobia since her performance at a reelection campaign event for President Joe Biden on Thursday. Some have raised concerns about her decision to perform at the Biden event, particularly in light of his stance on Israel during its conflict in Gaza.

Lizzo has vehemently denied these accusations, labeling them as “outrageous” and “false.” In addition to these legal challenges, Lizzo has been subjected to fatphobic remarks and has been vocal about their impact on her, especially following the release of her song “Rumors” in 2021.
“People saying derogatory things about me that are baseless. It’s fat-phobic, it’s racist, and it’s hurtful,” the singer expressed. ” that’s fine, If you don’t enjoy my music. If you don’t appreciate the song ‘Rumors,’ that’s fine. However, many individuals dislike me because of my appearance.”
