Garrison Brown, Son of ‘Sister Wives’ Stars Janelle and Kody Brown, Dies

On Tuesday, Garrison Brown, the son of “Sister Wives” stars Janelle and Kody Brown, passed away at the age of 25 in his Flagstaff, Arizona home.

In an Instagram post, Janelle and Kody expressed their profound sadness over the loss of their son, Robert Garrison Brown. They described him as a bright presence in the lives of those who knew him. The couple asked for privacy during this difficult time and invited others to join them in remembering and honoring Garrison’s memory.

Flagstaff Police, as reported by Variety, stated that Garrison’s death was due to “an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.”

Garrison had been featured on the popular TLC reality series since its debut on the network in 2010, initially appearing as a child. The show documents his father’s polygamous lifestyle in Utah, where Kody maintains multiple marriages. Notably, Janelle, one of Kody’s wives, was married to him until their divorce last year.

As Garrison reached adulthood, he expressed a desire to enlist in the military. Although his initial preference was to join the Army, he ultimately opted to enlist in the National Guard. Eventually, he moved out of his parents’ residence and into his own place during the pandemic.

A representative from TLC expressed profound sorrow upon learning of Garrison Brown’s tragic passing, offering the network’s sincerest condolences and sympathies to the grieving Brown family during this challenging period.

Following their spiritual union in 1993, Janelle and Kody welcomed six children into their family: Madison, Logan, Garrison, Gabriel, Hunter, and Savanah. However, in December 2022, Janelle publicly disclosed that she and Kody had decided to separate.

As time passed, tensions between Kody and his children escalated, a matter Janelle openly discussed during a confessional interview. She expressed concerns about her children’s strained relationship with their father.

“I’ve been worried about the mental well-being of my boys,” she revealed. “Gabriel experiences emotions very deeply, yet often remains silent.” She further noted that Garrison appeared to be grappling with feelings of anger or sadness, and his demeanor was noticeably different from his previously cheerful disposition.
