Yesterday, on April 21st, twelve members of the Thanet Roadrunners participated in the prestigious London Marathon. Among them, Jack Bradley embarked on a mission to surpass the Thanet Roadrunners club record, a feat not to be taken lightly in a club renowned for its high-caliber athletes over four decades.
In an awe-inspiring display of athleticism, Jack exceeded all expectations, clocking in at an impressive 2:36:01 over the grueling 26.2-mile course, slicing over 50 seconds off the club record.
Expressing pride in Jack’s remarkable achievement, Club Chairman Pete Heath remarked, “The entire club celebrates Jack’s accomplishments and his record-breaking performance, marking a significant milestone in our club’s storied history of over 40 years. Jack exemplifies not only extraordinary athleticism but also embodies a spirit of encouragement and support for his fellow runners.” Amidst the outstanding performances of the day, the London Marathon showcased an electrifying atmosphere of camaraderie and achievement.
